2017 OHS People’s Choice Award Winner

Pine Hill Police Department Participates in the 2017 Overbrook High School People’s Choice Award

The Pine Hill Police Department was honored to participate in the Overbrook High School People’s Choice Awards Program. Each year staff members at OHS are given the opportunity to select a student who demonstrates qualities such as high level of dedication to their education, a positive influence on others, and overall excellence in attendance, attitude, and citizenship.

Frankie Funari, a freshman high school student at Overbrook High School, who continually exhibits great school spirit, academic excellence, and respect for others was selected by SRO DiGiacomo to receive the Pine Hill Police Department’s School Resource Officer’s Choice Award. SRO DiGiacomo had the opportunity to work with Frankie while volunteering as an Overbrook High School Bowling Coach. SRO DiGiacomo recognized Frankie’s great sportsmanship, dedication, and comradery with his team. His eagerness to learn and ability to grasp new concepts was impressive and showed as he progressed throughout the season. Frankie also has future aspirations of becoming a law enforcement officer.

Frankie was presented this award at the event held on April 6, 2017 at the Overbrook High School 18th Annual People’s Choice Award Ceremony. SRO DiGiacomo also presented Frankie with the Pine Hill Police Department’s Challenge Coin as a token of our appreciation of his efforts.

Congratulations to all of the students selected for their dedication to their education, positive influence on others, and overall excellence in attendance, attitude and citizenship. Keep up the great work!
