On January 23, 2015, Camden County officials awarded the Camden County Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Medal to fifteen recipients from various communities within the county. The award recipients were selected by the committee for their contribution to the betterment of their community through their unselfish dedication of time and talent, beyond their normal professional activities, in the continuation of Martin Luther King Jr’s dream to create a more just and loving community. Of the fifteen recipients, three are residents of the Borough of Pine Hill.
