On August 25th, 2015 at approximately 11:50PM a Pine Hill Police Officer patrolling the 200 block of West Branch Avenue was traveling south-bound towards Erial Road at which time a vehicle entered the roadway, traveling head-on with the Officer’s patrol vehicle. The Officer swerved to avoid a collision and ultimately conducted a motor vehicle stop with the vehicle in the area of W. Branch Avenue and Davis Avenue. Investigation during the stop led to the seizure of a loaded .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun and an open container of alcohol. The four occupants of the vehicle, three adults and one juvenile, were taken into custody at the scene of the stop without incident. All occupants were charged with weapon related crimes and possession of the open container of alcohol.
