On Friday, December 18, 2015, as part of the Camden County College Police Academy Class 66 graduation ceremony, Sgt. Witts was presented with the Physical Training Instructor Recognition Award for his dedication and commitment to the training program at the academy. Many of the PT Instructors at the academy, including Sgt. Witts, volunteer their time to train and mentor the police recruits to ensure they are physically and mentally prepared for the challenges of their chosen profession.
Sgt. Witts oversees six certified Physical Training Instructors within the Pine Hill Police Department. The Pine Hill PD Physical Training Instructors volunteer their time at the Camden County Police Academy, in addition to leading pre-employment Physical Ability Testing, the PHPD / Pine Hill Middle School Physical Fitness Challenge, elementary school run clubs and Overbrook High School multi-sport training sessions.
Congratulations to Sgt. Witts and thank you to all of the PT Instructors who serve as motivators and mentors to our recruits and the members of the Pine Hill Police Department.
