On March 23, 2016, Pine Hill Police PT Instructors and SRO DiGiacomo joined the OHS spring sports for the bi-annual joint workout. Baseball, Softball, Tennis, and Track student-athletes joined officers in three groups during the “baseball workout”, consisting of flutter-kicks, squats, burpees and push-ups all separated by a 90ft sprint. The OHS Boys Baseball completed eight cycles in fifteen minutes, completing the exercises as a motivated group! Congratulations to all of the student-athletes who gave 100% during the workout, we look forward to joining you in the future.
The purpose of the joint-workout is to bring the students and officers together in a fun, motivated atmosphere, where the officers are a role-model figure, promoting healthy life choices. The group physical training session enables officers to interact in a non-law enforcement setting, greatly increasing the establishment of a trusting role-model relationship.
We look forward to future workouts with the motivated student-athletes of Overbrook High School!
